After buying THREE different "professional" nail drills from Sally's Beauty Supply and being disappointed with the strength and speed, I finally decided to turn to Amazon and purchased this one for less than half the price of the previous ones I've bought. This one is SO MUCH better! I am not a nail technician so I can't speak to how it compares to very expensive drills but I was able to remove my gel and acrylic nails with ease. It's perfect for shaping. This drill absolutely gets the job done.
I'm not a professional so I wouldnt know exactly a professional would rate this. I do my own acrylic nails at home and for me it works great! I think it's great for beginners. I'm sure as I become better I would eventually upgrade to a better model but for now I'm loving this. I do recommend getting a carbide drill bit if your doing acrylic nails. This doesn't come with one.
Actually it works like professional machine for the price can't complain I'm happy with the purchase.
Great electric file for doing nails at home.
Nice little drill buffer. Easy to use. I use the sanding ones for my small wood projects. So far it is working nicely. No problems yet. Hopefully never.

Steps:
1.Press the function switch on the left to ON for manual control, the indicator will be on and the grinding head starts to move slowly.
2.Rotate the speed control clockwise to accelerate the grinding head.
3.When the function switch is pressed to the OFF, step on the pedal the speed will be accelerated, and loose the foot, the speed will be decreased.
4.The turning directions can be swapped: FWD means clockwise and REV means counterclockwise.
5.Adjust the speed of the grinding head within a reasonable range.
6.Adjust the hand piece to the lowest speed before changing forward/backward direction or before turn off the machine.

I am in love with my drill! This is my first time ever buying a drill. I did read some of the reviews of the drill and even though there weren't many I did not want to pay for an expensive drill yet. I just got into doing nails and needed a practice drill and this drill does the job. I am able to lay acrylic and drill the acrylic as well. It does allow you to change the speeds and it comes with the foot pedal but I don't use the pedal at all. I would definitely recommend this drill
I have this machine for over a year and still works great and I use it every other week to do my gel nails.
