I've been using a rotary file nail drill with the round sanding discs and they tear up my cuticles. It takes forever to get gel polish off and by the time I'm done, I've got bloody fingers. It's not easy to do your own acrylics! Saves a ton of money though. After reading a bunch of reviews about this, I decided to invest the extra money. I actually had the sanding discs in my cart and decided to go with this instead. I used it today and it was absolutely amazing! It took the lifting acrylic right off my fingers without effort. The gel polish came right off. I was able to go around my cuticles with absolutely no blood or no issues. This was well worth the price and I will definitely be buying more!
One of the best bits I've ever had, period. I've had this bit for almost a year and it's still usable. Not as sharp as it was when it was new, but it's lasted longer than any of my other bits! Definitely worth the money. I'll continue buying SpeTools' bits!

I rarely use this bit. I find ceramic “grabs” my hard gel too easily. It ends up taking too much material off too quickly. I only do my own nails, so this is my preference. Someone who regularly does nails might prefer this ceramic bit to cut through material faster.
This is my new favorite bit! It cuts through gel and acrylic at the perfect pace, and I find it easy to use for both fills and fresh sets. It is also great for shaping. This drill is not super course, so it will not strip your whole nail off in seconds. This is best for removing gel colors and shaping nails. The quality is amazing and I will definitely be getting more!

Loving this bit so far. I heard rumors that ceramics wear down quicker but I’m very happy with the way it’s held up. Love a good safety bit!
I bought this bit in medium. I absolutely love it. I used it to take off gel polish. It worked so great to get the color off without ripping through the basecoat. Worked really well! Will buy again
Removes products quickly from false nails. I do not use this on my natural nails. This does not cut the cuticle because of the safety tip.
