My Euro Pro Spa manicure set quit working a few months ago. I am now diabetic and really need to be able to do good foot care. My hand grip is getting too weak to always be able to cut the thicker toe nails with a heavy duty clipper. Was not finding what I wanted until I came across the PureNails products here.
I liked the coil cord and grooming light. Charging the old unit or replacing batteries interfered with when I needed to use it too often. The cord is no problem, it fits securely into the unit and the speed is consistent. I was also pleased to find the direction of rotation can be changed which can help in some spots. Does warm up with a long session so be careful to check the time when you start to let it cool off after 20 minutes.
I like the saphire filing discs are slightly smaller than the base - creating a very small lip farther out from the disc which prevents skin abrasion when filing tight spaces. The attachments go in and come out easily, sit securely when running, do what they are supposed to with the high speed option hardly needed.
The fifth star is for the light. Even if the place being filed is not in the beam while getting treated, a quick back off gives a very well lit view.
The older I get, the harder it gets to do my toenails. This device makes it easier. The unit feels solid and there are enough different attachments to do anything I need to do. My improvement wish would be re: the AC cord. Make it longer and lose the spring coil. You have to be really close to an AC outlet, and the spring coil reduces freedom of movement.
I'm a Registered Nurse. This is the second kit I'd gotten for family.They have the freedom to take care of their toenails when they need to without waiting for an appointment and expense of a podiatrist, for day to day maintenance of tough and thick toenails. Even great for a family member with Type II Diabetes. When his toenail rubs on his show, he can gently remove that part of the toenail causing problems, without having it turn into something would otherwise turn into something much worse! It was just what I was looking for, for self care right at home. I have one for myself too, to see if it works better than pedi-paws on my pet. Who knows...it is very gentle and electric, no batteries required to function. I like an old fashioned plug versus battery eaters! Love this! I also bought Snip-It toenail trimmers for thick toenails.
I purchased this manicure/pedicure system a couple weeks ago. I've used it a couple times and I really like it. I hate filing my nails or doing them in general so I was looking for an easier way to do that at home instead of spending $40+ at a nail salon (which I don't love sitting at every time either).
This is perfect for that. It is easy to use, I have no experience doing nails. I can watch TV and do this at the same time. Filing is the best part, but also good for removing excess skin/hang nails.
I am absolutely loving the Pure Nails system. Never thought I would purchase what seemed to be such an elaborate set of implements to do my nails. (I've never had a professional manicure/pedicure). I purchased this product to do my own manicure. The instructions are not clear enough for beginners anyway I figured out how it works trying all tools. It wasn't a big deal. The result is perfect. I really love it. My manicure looks professional. I highly recommend this product.
: I take care of my elderly mother and needed something efficient and easy to use to help in giving her manicures and pedicures. I had tried the pharmacy brand products with batteries, but they did not seem to help very much. I want to let you know that I am very happy with your product. The wired electric motor vs battery operated of your competitors is definitely a plus, not only is the power greater but no need to continuously change batteries and their cost. The number of attachments to perform the various tasks is also a great plus you have everything you need. Also appreciate the handy storage case. I just want to thank you the product is excellent, the only thing I would maybe change would be the length of the power cord and the spiral. Would prefer longer and straight as the spiral does like the old telephone cords.
Perfect. Why did I wait so long to replace the Medisana unit that has been shutting off intermittently for years? Love this PureNails unit. It has two speeds, rotates both clockwise and counter clockwise, has all of the heads you need for manicures and pedicures, including for removing calluses. It is wonderful and powerful and quiet. I am so pleased. Now I will keep my fingers and toes crossed that it lasts. I have had other brand manicure sets that started out well enough and then either quit altogether or started shutting down at inconvenient times. Oh, and the little light on this PureNails hand piece is bright enough to help you see your work area clearly.
This little gadget works wonders. I have rather thick big toe nails that curve in at the edges so it was impossible for me to get clippers on them. The course file ground them down within seconds. I have yet to use the other attachments but will over the weekend. Its sandal time and I want my feet to look great!
I can not stand to have anyone touch my feet so I do my own pedis and this gadget is a Godsend!
I wear fake fingernails, acrylics that I have done professionally, but I like to change polish often and this manicure set is perfect for my mani and pedi needs.
I have been using this for about five months, two to three times a week--each time with a total use of aprx 45 to 75 minutes and have never had an issue with it overheating. I do tend to work one nail at a time and shut it off between nails on both my hands and feet.
As far as the pedi goes, this kit has all the tools I need to get the same pro look I would get at the nail salon. The drill part is easy to hang on to thanks to the flared shape and the speed seems to be pretty much what is used at the nail salon. It is fast enough that it will create heat if the bit used isn't being moved around. Being corded and electric over battery powered it does have more power and it stays constant.
It works great for cleaning up and shaping my acrylic nails. When I can't make it to the salon on time for fills, I use this to smooth out the edges of the acrylic nail and I can get a couple of extra days wear out of them without the nail being rough and getting snagged in my hair or pulling to far off the real nail under it.
It works great for cleaning up under the nail, keeping the nails looking clean underneath.
