This fits my 3" CS S&W 686P 7 shot like a glove right out of the box. The Belt Loops are plenty large and rigid enough to support and carry high. I'm 5'9" and 165 lbs; and I can conceal my 7-shot .357 magnum under a normal-fitting t-shirt with minimal printing.
I am happy with this product, but it's not perfect.

- hard to draw: the tension is established with the stiff leather behind the cylinder, as opposed to a tension screw at the muzzle. You must stretch the leather open with your pointer finger to draw the weapon.
I also bought these magnets to replace the bulky cadence magnet of my Garmin cadence sensor that I have on my race bike (I wanted a cleaner look on my carbon crankset). I have theseLOOK Keo 2 Max Carbon Pedals pedals. They thread through the crank arm using a 6mm hex that fits in on the threaded side of the shaft.
I went at it blind, because the pedal's shaft, where the magnet would be placed, sticks out about 1mm on the inside side of the crank arm. Because the pedal's shaft houses the space for the hex key, the magnet would only have the border of the shaft, or about 2mm as the total amount of metal to which it would attach.
After moving the cadence sensor and the spoke magnet to align with the new position of the magnet, I tried it out by just pedaling the bike on the stand and it registered fine. This morning I went for a ride and it worked beautifully. The magnet did not even shift a bit from where I placed it.
Strictly for esthetic purposes, I may get a washer to place on the space outside of the crank arm where the pedal attaches, to see if the magnet will be a tad more flush with the crank arm. Somehow I don't believe it will be necessary to ensure the magnet stays put.
By the way, the manufacturer advertises 7lbs of pull force. I don't doubt it, but with as little metal for the magnet to attach where I have it placed, it doesn't take 7lbs of pull force to get it off. But, it stays on while the cranks are spinning and that's what matters. And, if it falls off, I have 9 more.

I purchased these magnets to supplement the remaining 4 of a pack of ten similar magnets I had bought years ago, which leads to this point: they are brittle and can break if dropped on a hard surface. I did not discount any stars for this because as magnets go they are so strong for their size and so reasonably priced. I have not tested them to determine exactly how many sheets of paper they will hold firmly to a steel surface, but I do have one which is right now firmly holding a check register (18 sheets including the card stock covers).
Warning: when you receive them you cannot slide them off the stack of ten one at a time: the bond is too strong. I separated them by splitting the stack against a corner of my filing cabinet and repeating this process until I had separated all ten magnets.

I ordered these after seeing an online demo of a homopolar motor and then finding that they were very affordable. As far as their viability for the hp motor project, they worked like a champ and I highly recommend trying it. 1/2" diameter is perfect for a AA battery. (I stacked 2 or 3 magnets for my motor experiments) These little magnets are much more powerful than anything this size I've ever played with. They easily influence one another at any distance within a foot and are simply fascinating to play with. The downside: the nickel plating is much thinner than I realized and these little buggers accelerate toward each other with enough force to easily dent and eventually crack each other if you're not very careful. My order came with 20 magnets and I had chipped or broken about 8 of them the first day I got them. These little ones have given me a very healthy respect for the larger ones and I believe all the reviews stating how dangerous those bigger ones are... and I want a couple!
Bought these to replace the magnet from my bike computer that mysteriously disappeared during one of my rides. These things are super strong. When they arrived at my door, I felt a slight shift in the Earth's orbit. For the great price, I chose to get the 10 magnets thinking they would keep disappearing from my bike. I've ridden 400 miles in various harsh conditions with the first magnet and it hasn't budged. Would highly recommend these magnets to anyone looking for strong magnets of this type.
