This warmer is actually larger than I was expecting. Holds a lot of wax, keeps it warm after the initial heating and the removable bowl is nice. I initially thought the wire across the bowl was going to help with wiping wax off but instead it just seems to get in the way of stirring, but that's a minor annoyance rather than a real negative.
Please note: The light flashes on and off the WHOLE time! This is it's way of regulating the temperature in the bowl (basically turning itself on and off), despite the slight annoyance of watching the light blink and hearing a very faint click, this warmer keeps the wax at a steady temperature the whole time.
Definitely glad I searched around for this one and it was definitely worth the price (less than $30).
Product was exactly as described. Easy to set up and use. Directions said it would melt the wax in 45 minutes and it was accurate! I could have probably begun using a little earlier. You can see the waxes progress without removing the lid. I actually bought the tin wax and just took the bucket out and put the tin in it and it worked perfect. Wax is warm when applied but no where near hot enough to burn. Once you have melted the wax you just have to turn to medium to prevent it from hardening. Overall this is a great little warmer!
I'm very happy with this purchase! It heats up relatively fast, and I really like the bar across the unit that you can scrape off the excess wax. I noticed some reviews say the warmer doesn't work properly because the light goes out...the deal is this: the warmer shuts itself off automatically when the wax is to the temperature you set it to, and turns itself back on if the wax starts to cool. I bought wax beans from Amazon to use in the warmer. Nice product.
This melter stands up to a lot of the more expensive big brand name competition. It melted my wax beads in a Flash. The temperature dial easy to operate with true temperature setting. Heats up fast cool down fast with a simple twist of the knob. I purchased this because lets be real salon waxing is expsensive! I was looking to do my own at-home. I'm ecstatic about what a good fine this is. It's built sturdy, has a nice weight to it and doesn't feel cheap. The unit doesn't take up a whole lot of space and I love the cute little flowers scalloped Edge lid. It certainlty does exactly what I need it to do and for a modest price that I don't mind paying. Which is great for a person like me who always goes over her Gadget/Beauty budget. And with this being something that I'm only using once every 6 to 12 wks its one of those guilt-free purchases. Score 1 for me!!!! You get your money's worth the first time its used. If you're on the fence about getting this one just do it you won't be sorry.
I had been searching for a wax warmer for personal use for some time. The previous reviews on this was helpful. I liked that the silver bar could be removed so I can access the wax better. Also, the can of wax I purchased (Gigi hard wax) fit inside of the bowl just right so I don’t have to put wax directly into the bowl. It heated very well and was easy to use. I am not a professional but I felt very capable of using this product without issue.

※How to clean the wax pot:
★Put a few drops of fragrance and color free oil onto a paper towel and wipe out the pot/machine as well as the rim.The oil will dissolve the wax and it simply disappears.
★Any oily residue left behind can be wiped off with a clean, dry cloth. Using oil will also prolong the life of your wax pot or machine as there are no nasty chemicals that can eat away at the plastic or dull the appearance.
I bought this to go with cirepil hard wax. I’ve used it about 4 times and it’s been great! I usually turn it up as high as it goes to melt the wax and then turn it off. Once the wax cools down and thickens up, I turn it back on to the lowest setting. Overall, good for the price.
yup, it melts wax. I guess for the money, it had better at least do that. I like the removable pot for those that may have the wax tins that you can stick directly into the melting pot. Then you can keep two different waxes separate, if you're one of those people that does both hard/soft wax. I understand that some wax tins are larger intentionally so that you will have to buy the company's melting pot, so be wary of that before purchase of this + any other tin of wax. Easy to clean if you spill inside, between the pot and the inner pot, it's nearly impossible to do though.
The light shorts out every now and then and it gets REALLY hot. Even on the lowest setting. Kinda annoying when I'm waxing and I keep having to turn it off and on to keep the wax at the right consistency. But for the price, it don't mind. I don't wax enough to pay $50 for a wax melter 😀
It takes a while for the warmer to melt the wax. I plugged it in and I came back to it later and the light was off. I thought it was defective but I later realized that it turns off to avoid overheating. It does this even though the wax is not completely melted. My Gigi warmer was completely different and much faster. But overalls it’s ok. Just give yourself enough time for the warmer to melt the wax.
This thing is awesome! Only takes at the most 5 minutes to melt my wax! 😊 But it do have to turn it off to let the wax cool off to use it on my skin or else it's too hot!
